Blogwreck

So, if it isn't obvious from all the broken links this blog is basically non-functional right now. The ruination was due to a bad accident with Google's software that I have not found a fix for. I still have all my art around in various places, so it's not lost, but I'm afraid this site is going to have to remain as a sad, empty shell until I make a site for myself or find some other way to use this one.

When I do I'll be sure to make sure there's a link here.

Fallen City, Spinning Buildings

Bonjour!

So, the period between my last post and me finally getting around to preparing something for a new one was just a little bit longer than I expected. 7 or 8 months isn't usually considered 'soon' in matters of internet correspondence, so it looks like I was wrong about that. In any case, I am alive and have been busy.

One of the things I have been busy with recently was a contract for a game by Big Robot called 'Fallen City' which is a sort of a reconstruction-themed city sim game. As you can read about through the previous link, the subject and theme of the game turned out quite timely.

So, for this project I modeled a series of low-poly structures representing various buildings in an English city. These are both big special building types that unlock abilities for your citizens as well as more general houses and shops.

I have made a bunch of animated .gif turn-tables showing many of the buildings I modeled and textured. These aren't all of the buildings I made but it includes a range of them. For some screenshots of the structures in situ look here. After the break is a big, spinning, confusing mess:

Disasterpeace - Rise of the Obsidian Interstellar

This is another album cover I did, this time for Disasterpeace. It went through quite a few versions, and originally the background was a kind of angular vector thing. Doing it all pixel was a late decision.

Diving Bell

This is an album cover done for my friend Adam Hay. He is Rotodrone. More low poly ridiculousness.
